Life on the Wire

Even though I am not having my 'typical' summer break, this time has still been somewhat relaxing. This is my last semester before I start the upper level classes of my program which I am slightly intimidated by but still excited about what we will be learning.

While designing is always fun, lately I have been missing photography more and more. I know that it's best right now to focus on school and not distract myself with work but I have taken every oppurtunity I can to photograph pretty much anything for fun.

A few weeks ago Tyler and I went on a middle school trip to a place in Columbia called Hi-Wire. It's a trampoline park with basketball goal, foam pit and slack line, dodgeball court, and a big open space where people could just jump. It was a fun place but we did have one serious injury.

And wedding photos that I've been delaying :)

It still baffles me that I got married outside because I just never pictured that setting but I am certainly glad we did

Oh those storm clouds, they really had us believing they were gonna open up.

I think the horses were the biggest hit of the day...

Netflix

If you're a Netflix junkie like me and sometimes feel like you've watched everything possible, I recommend trying these documentaries.

"20 Feet from Stardom,"- A) the music in this fantastic B) I highly question documentaries that that try to sway me to believe/support/boycott, this one does it's job and documents events then shares them. I have watched it twice and would gladly watch it again

"Tiny"- This one just fascinated me. I don't necessarily agree with all the views shared but the house were neat and it gave me plenty to think about.

Finally Home

My job occasionally allows me to follow people around for some unique experiences.

This particular time (over a year ago) we were photographing a family bringing home their adopted children. My job was to take picture of their bio children as they first saw their new siblings. This view was special to me because their faces showed everything you would need to see.
It wasn't till later that I realized how beautiful tis picture was of how we should reflect Christ. The people around us aren't always looking for Jesus but they are looking at us and our lives need show our joy and excitment over his next coming.

The handshake is my favorite

Annnd I thought this was an appropriate time to share Tyler and mines first look photos. Again photos by Ivey Mischel Photography
