Art Set

Several people have been talking about the Art set app for iPad. I recently downloaded it and I am addicted. I have also been getting my friends to draw pictures for me

Chelsea is going to Africa so I drew this thinking about it.

Not sure what inspired Stephen's "Noah's Ark" but I think it is adorable.

Chelsea has started her own blog. Go follow her.

Kayla's peacock is almost tribal, which I think is pretty cool.

Formalities

I have enjoyed every time I visit Tyler in Texas and this time was no exception. We had a super busy weekend. And as usual we ate plenty of good food along the way which is important to me.

I love the Honey butter chicken biscuit from this place. So good. Sadly I only got two on this trip.

I have a sweet boyfriend who is supportive of my breakfast food love and make me "breakfast tacos".

We went to "U Paint It."

My travel mug that I am in love with

This is Tyler's handprint on the outside of my mug, So I can hold his hand all the time

There is a coffee shop in College Station called MugWalls. Self explanatory it has mugs on it's walls. Also they have a Nuetella Frappe.

One of Tyler's friends Johnny Stimson is touring with Jillian Edwards was stopping there. I liked their music before but now I can't stop listening to it. This precious song is my favorite but I recommend downloading all their music.

This tour they are currently a part of is to raise awareness for 10 days. A project where for 10 days in October you can commit to only drinking and give the money you save to help give water to people in desperate need for it.

The next morning we drove to Austin for the BCA Formal. One of Tyler's friends drove by and threw gummy bears at us.

Brandon and Annie, Hilarious Couple

He is the best date :)
BCA guys and their dates were so much fun to hang out and dance with. I was was often greeted with "I have heard so much about you," and my favorite "We call you Georgia in our Bible study." I am sad this is the only formal I get to go to but I am grateful for this fun night in Austin and even more grateful for this memory with Tyler.

A few weeks ago I read about the BlueBonnet Festivals in SouthernLiving and asked Tyler to take me. It was very Texas to say the least.

Tyga's tour bus. Never heard of him prior
Stole Tyler's spare keys then stole the truck to take him on a date for a change
So Tyler's friends Amber and Matias asked us to go to this restaurant called Grub Burger Bar. This burger was life changing as far as food goes. I got one called the Lockhart Legend. It had sauce made from Dr. Pepper, Cheese, AND bacon. It was just so stinking good. One of those meals that you are super sad when there is none left to eat.

Surprised

I am not great at keeping secrets. So not telling Chelsea we were throwing her a surprise party was absolutely killing me. Through this process I learned some necessities to have a successful surprise party.

1) Minions
Since it was a surprise, setup was crunched down to a few hour window, while Chelsea's mom took her to see a movie. There is no way Kayla and I could have turned the sunroom into little Africa without the help of some friends.

Here is Kayla yelling at our original minions. I'm assuming Matt had done something wrong and Morgan was questioning why she had agreed to come in the first place.

2) Fun Decorations

These fluffy things came in yellow and green and were supposed to remind you of suns and trees. Chelsea immediately liked them to the Lorax.

By the time 6:30 rolled around anyone who came through the door had been enlisted as fellow minions. I am sure they were all thrilled.

I think our signs were the most impressive part of our decorations, especially considering they were the cheapest part.

I am not sure who drew this but Caitlin and Kaili painted it in for us

3) Good Timing

Which apparently I don't have. For a split second had a look of surprise on her face. Then she hid. I got the hiding part on camera.

4) Fy-er! Fy-er!

Translated that is Leslian for "Fire! Fire!" Which we had plenty of.

We bought these number sparklers since she was 20. They seemed like such a cool idea but they refused to light at the same time.

Didn't have a tripod and the two looks like an eight. But we tried.

5) Family

Kayla and Mrs. Leslie were so much fun to plan a party with. They came up the Africa theme and pretty much everything creative. I am so grateful they let me into their family because this past year would have been completely lame without them.

Poor Kyle, I am pretty sure he did the most work for the party. At any given time he had three different things being asked of him.

6) Finally, Birthday Girl

This party coming together successfully makes me happy because Chelsea deserves it. She is genuine and kind like I never seen a person be before. If how you treat your family proves your true character then she is about as good as they come. All in all a person who works so hard to make everyone else happy needed a night where everyone worked to make her happy.
