Netflix

If you're a Netflix junkie like me and sometimes feel like you've watched everything possible, I recommend trying these documentaries.

"20 Feet from Stardom,"- A) the music in this fantastic B) I highly question documentaries that that try to sway me to believe/support/boycott, this one does it's job and documents events then shares them. I have watched it twice and would gladly watch it again

"Tiny"- This one just fascinated me. I don't necessarily agree with all the views shared but the house were neat and it gave me plenty to think about.

Pick Me Up

If you are extremely depressed over the Downton Abbey Finale, then I recommend this video for cheering up.

"It's the freedom Language."

The Harry Potter books and films were a huge part of my childhood. I will probably never recover from the series ending (sarcasm obviously but really I am still sad). Finding this video helps to cheer me up.

Wide and High

I tried looking up Reba singing "Deep in the Heart of Texas" and ran across this instead totally made my day.

The idea of going back to school makes me sad. I want to drive around Texas listening to country music with Tyler forever. So we are making the most of the time we have together and it continues be a perfect summer.

I saw this video on Pinterest and wanted to give putting a picture on wood a try. It required very little craftiness the hardest part was rubbing the paper off. Hopefully I will have a chance to stain the corners to frame it a bit.

One of Tyler's friends invited us to her ranch house for the weekend to celebrate her birthday. The thing that has been repeatedly blowing my mind here is how big the sky is. I mean it's huge and sadly does not fit in my camera but that doesn't stop me from trying.

America and fishing and he is quite happy
We were surrounded by storms the whole time
There was the most amazing lightning show I have ever seen this is the only shot I got but Tyler has tons and hopefully he will let me share them later

Since I've been back I have been enjoying a lot of "I Love Lucy" and Andy Griffith.

P.S. I am seeing "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dream Coat" tomorrow with Tyler and his parents! Love this musical, it was one of the first ones I ever saw, and it helped fuel my childhood obsession with Andrew Lloyd Webber.
P.P.S. Totally own this movie thankfully brought it with me so Tyler and I were able to watch it and prepare him for the awesomeness.

Missing the Beach Hair but enjoying the Big Hair

I am now safely in Dallas after spending the week in Destin. Tyler is working at his internship for most of the day so I am catching up with all things photography that I have been behind on for months and working my Summer Bucket List, which I update in a later post.
The beach was perfect. When I was younger I hated the place but as I got older and found out sunscreen really works I have come to love being there.
Quick side note: the day I left for the beach I got a post card from my German friend Clara as she is frolicking around Europe with a friend. So unfair but I love and miss her so much.

The ride up there Chaco just wants to be free.
I feel the need to make a disclaimer now. Tyler and his dad are obsessed with fishing shirts. Mr. E.J.'s collection would make any fratboy or pinterest user drool. But if you told him that he would have no earthly idea what you talking about, the result is they are wearing these shirts in every picture and it looks like I am hanging out with Columbia models.

I dropped my phone on bricks and this is the result. I feel if you can impress Grant with your smashed screen that's pretty sad.

One morning a storm woke me up so I went outside and tried (unsuccessfully) to get an awesome lighting shot but I still got some interesting ones.

Later that morning we had a double rainbow!

Just found this to beyond precious
Our mornings pretty much consisted of watching a children's movie then heading down to the beach. Despite the craziness it was one of the most relaxed times I have had in a long time.

We ate at a place called Harry T's for Fourth of July the food wasn't the best but the view was completely worth it. We boat watched the had the perfect view of the fireworks.

Sunset from Harry T's
I was sad to leave the beach I was more excited to be back in Dallas. Even though this is a huge city and that is not my cup of tea, Tyler and his family make it fun for me and the fact that they are driving takes a lot of stress off so that might have something to do with it.

Last day :(

Back in Texas. Tyler and I have officially been dating one year. Pretty crazy :)

Smiling All Weekend Long

This past weekend was one of my busiest ever. But it was completely grand. I don't normally look back on a weekend and think it was absolutely great but this one really was.

First I drove to Atlanta by myself for the the first time. I was nervous and obnoxiously proud of my achievement. I picked Tyler up with my friend Stephen by way of the large train system that goes through Atlanta. We have had a large discrepancy over if it is pronounced. MARTA or The Mar-TA. This has yet to be resolved.

Tyler from Texas likes to pronounce his Ts
That we went to see the Hunger Games. Sadly we did not think to take pictures because this was fun night. The movie did not disappoint and I hoping to go see it again soon.
And I seriously loved Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss.

The next day we took it easy and spent the whole day with Tyler's family.

Chillin' with Uncle TyTy after a nap.
Locked out and thrilled about it.

Millie's Determination to get to the door was fun watch and I experimented with the editing of these.

Reaching....
Almost got it...
HA! Success!
A lesson in thunder and why it doesn't have to be "cairy"
The next day was the walk. Despite early morning van failure my dad made it to the see all his friends. Even though the walk is always stressful I would't trade the day of for anything. It chance for my dad to be reminded that we are all still behind him and for me to see how a guy who washed dishes can affect lives.

This is my uncle John's photo. Him being there meant so much to my dad.
Hopefully I'll be able to give a more complete blog on the walk later.
