I am just one of the millions of people right now who are getting pumped for the Olympics. I watched the opening ceremony from 2008 to get ready.
I was lucky to be at the the Olympics when they were in Atlanta but I was too little to remember. I think I can recall a lot of umbrellas.... but the story is that I cried while there so hopefully one day I'll have a chance to go again. Until then I will be glued to the T.V. screen.
I have two videos to share one is so sweet you may cry and the other so funny you may cry. You pick what you are in the mood for. Or if you are bored, watch both
This proposal was shown to me by Grant and Micah. With Grant telling me after seeing it he wanted "a do-over." It is a positively precious and I love that song anyway.
Reba is one of my favorite shows of all time. I know a lot of people think it is lame but I can't stop laughing every time I see this clip.
In high school a friend of mine from India's mom ALWAYS fed us when we went to her house. So naturally I loved being there. I don't remember a lot of the names of the food so it's hard for me to find it again (also it was mostly homemade). I do remember Chai Tea and it's one of my favorite drinks. Mrs. Leah found this concentrate the other day at Costco and I'm newly addicted to it. Tyler thinks it is the most repulsive stuff ever.
And something from Pinterest that made me laugh. Largely because I can relate to it.
Lastly a shot from our walk the other day that I forgot
"Joseph and Amazing Technicolored Dream Coat" was one of the best performances I have ever seen. As it was a Broadway musical the music is always the most memorable but this particular show was different because I have never seen so much effort put into the antics on stage. Overall, it was very similar to every other showing I have seen of "Joseph" but the little things and expressions made by the side characters made it a highlighting night of theater. We laughed the whole time and I would gladly go see it again because it was just that good. I found this interview with the actor who plays Joseph and it also has some clips of the show itself.
As usual to the rest of my life, I spend a large majority of my life in T-shirts here so getting a chance to dress up with Tyler is always fun.
I tried looking up Reba singing "Deep in the Heart of Texas" and ran across this instead totally made my day.
The idea of going back to school makes me sad. I want to drive around Texas listening to country music with Tyler forever. So we are making the most of the time we have together and it continues be a perfect summer.
I saw this video on Pinterest and wanted to give putting a picture on wood a try. It required very little craftiness the hardest part was rubbing the paper off. Hopefully I will have a chance to stain the corners to frame it a bit.
One of Tyler's friends invited us to her ranch house for the weekend to celebrate her birthday. The thing that has been repeatedly blowing my mind here is how big the sky is. I mean it's huge and sadly does not fit in my camera but that doesn't stop me from trying.
America and fishing and he is quite happy
We were surrounded by storms the whole time
There was the most amazing lightning show I have ever seen this is the only shot I got but Tyler has tons and hopefully he will let me share them later
Since I've been back I have been enjoying a lot of "I Love Lucy" and Andy Griffith.
P.S. I am seeing "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dream Coat" tomorrow with Tyler and his parents! Love this musical, it was one of the first ones I ever saw, and it helped fuel my childhood obsession with Andrew Lloyd Webber.
P.P.S. Totally own this movie thankfully brought it with me so Tyler and I were able to watch it and prepare him for the awesomeness.
With Tyler's help I have gotten more done on my bucket list
See a Rangers game
Side note this is a rough riders game. It's baseball and I got a hotdog so I'm gonna count it.
Make a PhotoBook of my 2011 pictures
Got this in the mail today, absolutely love it can't wait to make more.
We went golfing again. I needed a glove badly but I was very disappointed to see women's gloves were all pink or white. When I spotted this men's glove I fell in love with it. It's a little big but it's green that's all I need.
Taken by Tyler
We looked a little more presentable this time around :)
I had another great day for my bucket list. We went to the driving range. Based on the experience I do not need to be graduating to the actual course any time soon. But I had a great time and hope we will go back in a few days (after I stop being so sore of course).
Going to a range that accepts neon, camo, and animal print.

So we grilled out this afternoon. More like Tyler grilled out while I took pictures but we are just gonna count it.
This is Tyler's dog Buddy, he is fluffy and extremely photogenic :)
Because I am cat person (specifically my cat, not usually anyone else's) and I miss my cat I have been watching cat videos.
While at the beach Tyler's brother took some photos of us. I hadn't even looked at them until earlier today and now I can't get enough of them. Most of them I'm laughing but I like that because that is what I do when Tyler is around.
When I edit pictures I work best if I have music. T.V. distracts to the point I have no productivity. So I have been rediscovering some old music lately and finding some new.
I am so lucky to know this guy. Brian is the brother of my friend Stephen (you may remember their family shoot here ). Brian deserves all the success in the world and I hope he gets it. Also I hope he finds time to do more Beyonce covers.
Speaking of Stephen I ask him for a new music video to watch and this is what he sent me.
Excuse the slight language. Don't show this to your kids but it is hilarious.
As you may or may not have read, I made a Summer Bucket List. In my first week here in Dallas I/we have made a little progress.

The assignment for chapter 1 "From Snapshots to Great Shots," was pretty simple. Go out and shoot in black and white. I am grateful to be dating a guy who despite waking up so early to go to work is willing to just go out and shoot with me.
*This song has been stuck in my head the past fews since I have been learning about black and white photography. The music starts at 2 minutes if you wish the skip the part with the kid.
Tyler's favorite toy, it's seven feet tall and can haul.
The park we were at had fountains that ran over stairs down in a pool and all of it you were free to play in. This kids was having a ball
This one is my favorite. Glad I have a boyfriend creative enough to think of shots like this and goofy enough to participate.
I cleaned up a little around here :) I have been wanting "cleaner" looking back ground for awhile and I just borrowed the picture from Chelsea and a quote from J.K. Rowling. Can't go wrong.
Here is me and my extremely handsome boyfriend
Here is the photo he going to be extremely annoyed I posted
I hope everyone is having a fabulous and relaxing summer!
